Listen here: It’s a Felix Life

Written and performed by Ann
To the tunes of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful Life” by IZ

Somewhere out by the lakeshore,
ginny waits
and the felix felicis
will bring us sunlit days

oh someday when I have taken
felix fair
dreams of ginny will come true
I’ll have this girl so rare

some day i’ll turn to see her there
this Weasley girl with flaming hair
beside me
when my Firebolt shoots cross the sky
and she will join me up so high
and we’ll fly so free

oh someday when I have taken
felix fair
dreams of ginny will come true
that day our hearts will share

I smell flow’ry scent from the Burrow dear
lucky potion to draw her near
and i’ll think to myself what a wonderful world
well I see hair of red and I see eyes bright brown
(this perfect girl who can be a clown)
and I think to myself what a wonderful world

The ceiling of the Great Hall so pretty with its stars
pales to the blazing love that so soon could be ours
I see us hand in hand strolling around the grounds
felix felicis – joy, joy abounds
I hear Giinny laugh and tell me I’m hers
deep in my chest my creature purrs
and I think to myself what a wonderful world, world

some day i’ll turn to see her there
this Weasley girl with flaming hair
beside me
when my Firebolt shoots cross the sky
and she will join me up so high
and we’ll fly so free

oh someday when I have taken
felix fair
dreams of ginny will come true
that day our hearts will share
