Listen here: Black Velvet

Written by Ann, and performed by Ann and Nina, to the tune “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles

Potions dungeon, hard at work around the cauldrons
On the blackboard is the potion for the day
Snape is prowlin’ set to light into a student
He sees a Gryffindor who’s messed up gonna pay
The man can cut, with every word menacing
And yet as he sneers, my feelings come so clear

Black velvet from that wizard’s mouth pours
Black velvet snark that I just adore
His cruel derision uttered in those silky tones
Black velvet makes me moan

Such a big nose on a face that’s always scowling
So greasy is the hair that hangs so lank
Swooping round just like a bat across the night sky
More points taken, leaves ‘em cursing at his back
And yet his voice, it is a sin, so dark and sleek
Smart and so intense, that I lose all my sense

Black velvet from that wizard’s mouth pours
Black velvet snark that I just adore
His cruel derision uttered in those silky tones
Black velvet makes me moan

Every word of every taunt that he jeers is so cruel
yet his voice is so smooth, always makes me drool
what’s a girl to do?

Black velvet from that wizard’s mouth pours
Black velvet snark that I just adore
His cruel derision uttered in those silky tones
Black velvet makes me moan

Black velvet from that wizard’s mouth pours
Black velvet snark that I just adore
His cruel derision uttered in those silky tones
Black velvet makes me moan
Makes me moan
Makes me moan
Makes me moan
